About Us

Frognose Exotics was created by a small team with scientific training and decades of experience working with insects, other invertebrates, reptiles, and amphibians. Each member of our team has extensive expertise in their own area of focus.

Many of the animals we work with are rarely seen in the hobby, and one of the things we enjoy most is learning more about their behavior, ecology, care, and breeding.

Our imported animals come through established relationships with experienced keepers and breeders in other countries. All of our imports go through the required legal process, including the necessary paperwork, permits, declarations, and inspections. Wild-caught animals are collected in accordance with local regulations, while some animals are purchased from local pet shops or food markets by our exporters.

Once the animals arrive, we focus heavily on proper husbandry. We provide each species with appropriate housing, environmental conditions, feeding, and care to keep them healthy and in good condition.

Shipping is handled carefully as well, with packing methods adjusted based on the species, weather, and expected shipping conditions.

Frognose Exotics is also meant to be a place where people can learn more about unusual animals. We hope that keeping and learning about these species can help more people appreciate their diversity and the natural world around them.
