About this species

The Space Marine crab is one of the coolest freshwater crabs in the world. They come from limestone mountains in Vietnam, and their coloration can vary greatly between individuals. Some are completely Space Marine blue, while others have white claws and white legs, white claws with blue legs, or even purple legs. The amount of variation in this species is incredible.

They are active predators that hunt insects and fish in the wild. Their care is mostly about having the required ph level and minerals. Most keepers use crushed coral and limestone as substrate to keep the water alkaline and mineral rich.
